Was bait still there when you finally found him? If not, then he probably was not panicked when you finally got home and will PROBABLY go back in - may take some time... Don't chum, let him look for food.

If the bait was STILL there, that means he was panicked and he may NOT go back in.

Better to use a 1040 for wary squirrels. Get them from Cabela's or Amazon. I don't sell them anymore. Just can't compete with Amazon lol.
