Years ago, I was told by some “squirrel guy” that the squirrels store supplies in those nests. Right away, that didn’t square with what I remembered as a little kid, I climbed trees, and looked into many nests. Knowing the way these little guys work, for them to store supplies in a vacant nest defies the imagination. They get into EVERYTHING! I’m sure each and every squirrel checks every nest multiple times a day. I think, mostly in this urban and suburban environment, they are kinda like bus stops...

With that many trees, I can see the squirrel attraction right away. And good you can do it yourself! Keep on keepin’ on, and stop back anytime. Nice to hear from you.
