Deb, she WILL leave, and yes, she will need water. Unless there are some unforeseen contingencies none of us knows about, these usually end pretty quickly, within a day or two.

But it does depend on a lot of factors, so I would trust the advice of your (professional) trapper guy. Ask him. He'll be glad to explain all.
