I live on the 2nd floor of a 2 family home in NJ and we have had a squirrel infestation for at least 2 years now. My idiot landlord (who lives on the property) did some intermittent patching of holes on the roof but the critters were right back the same day. Last week he told me he is replacing the roof and gutters and that should alleviate the problem. I asked him how can he replace the roof with the squirrels still inside? His brilliant response was that they would run once they heard all of the racket of the roof being pulled apart. Yeah, right!! The roof is now sealed and the gutters are replaced and the squirrels are still in my walls. Are they going to die and smell or are they going to eat their way out? I need your advice. Wasn't he an idiot not to have some type of remediatiion done prior to the roof replacement?
