John,
I am at my wits end! As I mentioned in an earlier post, due to my hospitalization and absence, the squirrel population in my attic exploded. Since that time, approximately one month, I have trapped and sent to hell 11 squirrels. However, there are at least one, maybe two squirrels that are still raising a ruckus in my attic. I have had 2 1040 Havahart traps sent for the last several days, and have not been able to snare the buggers. I have moved traps to several different locations, and have even tried vanilla (not A-1 steak sauce) as a lure, but still no luck. Now for a couple of those days, it has been a little rainy and sometimes cold, but it is my understanding that ALL squirrels go out at least once a day, am I correct? If so, I canít understand why I am having such a hard time catching the remaining 1 or 2 squirrels? I am a very patient person, but I am running out of both patience and options as concerned to this matter. I am hoping that we get a string of warm sunny days maybe that will help, and get them outside. Since I am home most days, and hear those critters running around at different times during the day, I am wondering if they ever leave my attic. Please, any thoughts and or ideas?
Regards,
Yank
