As far as the conibears are concerned, I've seen a squirrel chew his leg off in 10 minutes to get out of a trap. And your catch will be affected if other squirrels are hurt or killed in the trap and other squirrels see it.

If you're going to trap, use live traps. Preferably a 1040 Hava-Hart
