over the years whenever a squirrel would get into the soffit's or roof i have never had a problem trapping them (Havahart/peanut butter )and I always put them down.

I now am faced with a squirrel who does not seem to fall for the trap and he's made his way into the attic..

it has been weeks and still the squirrel avoids it
i have one trap in the attic & 1 one the roof

I am at the end of my rope, live in massachusetts so snow is coming

I am considering a 5 gallon bucket with bird feed and peanut butter over the water to hide it ( chipmunk trap )
or a snap rat trap fastened to a piece of plywood
HELP any,any suggestions
