We've recently found two flying squirrels in my kitchen. The first was Friday night, we trapped it after about an hour and a half in a fish tank in the cabinets above the fridge, and released it 7 miles from the house at night.

Then on Monday night, we saw one above the back door on the molding, only this time we just opened the door and he ran out. (Well the dog found it at 3 AM and woke us up barking and growling).

Anyways, what is the best way to rid our home of these flying squirrels? Are they too small to trap?

I assume they are coming in through the basement, as we have an old stone foundation. I am going to check the perimeters and make sure there are not any gaps, but do you have any other recommendations?

Thanks in advance, this site is fantastic.
