Will, I most definitely enjoyed your writeup on your "adventures with Mr Squirrel."
Although I do have regular visitors to this board that might think your effort was a "perfectly good waste of plywood, paint and effort and that you have way too much time on your hands!" LOL
But I, for one, admire your unusual attack on your enemy! I'm sure Mr Peck is pleased as punch. From the looks of your condo, I'm sure he'll be around for awhile. Hopefully, with no problems. I would advise you to feed anonymously, that is, not by hand. Much better if they don't connect food with humans. Same as with bears, but for (sort of) different reasons!
As I'm sure you've already learned, these little fellows like to CHEW. They'll chew through anything less than galvanized steel, so if the interface between the house and the condo needs to be isolated somehow, use half inch heavy duty hardware cloth, it's the cheapest and easiest to work with.
Otherwise, it certainly looks like you have an entertaining science/nature project! Nothing wrong with that! I'm re-posting the link for the other readers here, I'm sure they'll appreciate it.
Thanks for your post, Will. Readers, here's the link to Will's Custom squirrel condominium!
