Healthy, adult squirrels don't get "stuck." They can chew their way out of most any wall, unless it's concrete or steel.

You sure you have squirrels? Might be chipmunks, flying squirrels or something else....

Had a guy one time, swore it was a squirrel in the wall, but it mewed. lol. Don't ask me where it came from, I don't know!
