I saw the pictures you posted on your first post. I can't tell from a bite mark what kind of animal it is. It could be any one of a number of them, rabbits, squirrels, ground hogs, or whatever other kind of animal you have in your area.

Try and live trap it, use a Hava-Hart 1040.
