I live in a fourth floor apartment in Boston and a very persistent squirrel is trying to nest on my windowsill, beside my external air-conditioner. This is bizarre, as I frequently see squirrels out on my fire escape but they've never done this before.
So basically, the squirrel is trying to nest in the area between the "wings" and where my screen would normally come down. When I noticed this starting, I removed the twigs and leaves and eventually bought some Critter Ridder granules and sprinkled them on the sill. Is this going to be effective? I'm paranoid that I'm going to come home one day and find the little bugger has chewed through the wings on the air conditioner and is hanging out in my apartment.
