Last night I heard some 'rustling' sounds, and what souned like cellophane paper being crinkled in a a large pantry area, off of the kitchen. There is a lot of 'stuff' in that room, so I moved quite a few things around, and searched the room pretty thoroughly, but there was no sign (fecal material) of mice. I set a couple of mouse traps, but they were not touched. Having had a squirrel in my house, before I capped my chimney, I am wondering if there is anothr one, in that room? I would have thought that my search, and moving stuff around would have caused whatever it was, especially a squirrel, to show it's ugly head. I even searched under tables, thinking that the bugger might be clinging to the bottom of them. Any thought, mouse, rat, or squirrel?
