Well, you can't DO anything until you find out what you're dealing with. And if the noise is between floors, putting a trap in the crawl space isn't going to catch what's between the floors....

You could have mice, squirrels or flying squirrels - at least. And depending on where you live, there could be more.

You need to find out what's going on.
