I've had a squirrel in my attic for two days and it's driving me nuts! I bought a Havahart 1088 yesterday, and set it up in the afternoon with a rice cake smeared with peanut butter. Last night, I heard the trap slam shut. But no squirrel, and the bait was gone. I am reading this board and see that the 1040 is recommended, but when I looked at it on the Havahart webpage it says it's for skunks, small raccoons, and oppossums. I'm dealing with a smaller city squirrel. Will the 1088 still be okay? This is VERY frustrating. I want it out!
