I have a (borrowed) 1040 and a 1062 I bought at Home Depot. The 1062 seems to require a considerable amount of weight on the trigger to set it off...maybe too much weight for many squirrels.

I'm a terrible squirrel trapper. I've caught 2 in the past 3 months, and both were in the 1040. Never caught one in the 1062.
