He just wants OUT. He'll go out before he goes in the trap. Go up and take the wire off. LEAVE the trap, because you still want to trap this animal, he'll be back shortly. Then maybe he'll be a bit more interested in your trap.

Most of the time it's easy. but sometimes it ain't....
