It is rewarding in a 'revenge of the homeowner' kinda way, but there's a lot more things I'd rather be doing than chasing squirrels.

They invaded my home, made a mess in the attic, kept us awake, then tried to chew back in. I've spent many hours and a couple hundred dollars on traps, hardware, etc. and still have not made permanent repairs to my home.

I think my dozens of yard squirrels are too well-fed to go for the traps right now. And the pellet rifle is effective at short range (15-20 feet) from inside the house (out a door or window). I may invest in one of those scoped higher power models someday.
