Depends on who catches you. The actual fine, I believe, is $5,000. But unless you're a professional, the game warden might just give you a ticket, if it's a first-time offense.
If you're catching squirrels in a structure, put them down. If you release them, they'll just go to someone else's house. In fact, the one you have caught might have been released by someone else. Makes it just a bit harder to catch each time.
