Maybe I have a tricky squirrel or something....I can hear something moving around above the ceiling in 2 bedrooms. So, I figured it might be a squirrel. I followed your advice to see what might be there -- In the attic, I see what I think is squirrel poop, but I have no idea how old it is (I don't see any on boxes I put up there 10 years ago.).
I put out peanut butter + crackers on a plate, near where I think they are. No takers!
Today I went up to poke around near where I think they are. I started to lift a piece of insulation and found a live yellow jacket...I stopped because I didn't know what I might find, and nobody was around in case I had some kind of trouble up there.
I didn't want to purchase a squirrel trap until I was sure what might be up there. I'd almost feel better if something had eaten the peanut butter/crackers! Then I'd know I'm not crazy! Maybe I used the wrong bait? Suggestions are welcome!
